Slow Down Sunday

Brunch, Baby, Brunch

My Slow Down Sunday is BACK! Sunday's are for relaxing and mimosas and brunch! Thats my motto and since wedding season is quickly approaching I am really taking in two day weekends while I can. Brunch food is hands down the best food ever so I'm sharing with you this epic and easy crowd pleasing recipe.

Brunch Monkey Bread

1 can refrigerated biscuits

3 tbsp butter

6 large eggs

1/2 pound sausage

1 cup cheese of your choice

White Sauce:

1/4 cup low fat mayo

1/2 light sour cream

1 tsp lemon juice

1/2 tsp mustard

Yellow Sauce:

1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

1/2 cup milk

add cheese until it is smooth and mixed (I used cheddar)

dash garlic salt

What you do:

Preheat your oven to 350

- Cook meat and eggs

- Cut your biscuits into fourths and add to a large freezer bag with melted butter

- Add the cooked eggs and meat and shake around to combine everything

- Pour mixture into 6 cup greased bundt pan

- Bake for 30 minutes, while it bakes make your sauces.

- Give it 5 minutes to cool and add your sauce.

Believe me when I say this is delicious, lopsided yes, but delicious nonetheless. I hope you have a relaxing and fabulous Sunday full of all the things you love..including brunch.

Cheers!

Fall Fashion 2016

Fall Fashion!!

It's the absolute best time of the year! I can hardly contain myself!! I've been shopping since July!! Every Fall since I've started blogging I do a Fall Fashion Shopping List with all of the must have pieces that I love. Last year when I posted my list a had a few requests to make the post sooner. So here we go! It's earlier and anything but fast! Because we're talking Fall Fashion and I'll happily take my time.

Shades Of Tan

From pants, skirts, shirts, and vests this popular fall/winter color is back and chicer than ever! The best part is you can't mess it up! It matches anything!

Chunky Heels

At first I was a smidge skeptical because this is a little 90's for me but after I found these beauties I was completely in love. Plus, they are a more comfortable heel.

Shimmery Metallic

Especially Gold! This is another great trend because the gold is so neutral you really can pair it with anything. Also embellished clutches have been all over the runways!

Mini Fall Florals

It isn't every fall that you see designers playing with florals but this season we sure did! It has a 70's cool girl vibe and I love it! The prints are small which is also a unique take on it.  Another trend that is here to stay is a vest. Adding a vest really takes an outfit to the next level.

All Over Print's

Print's print's and more print's!! Don't be afraid to get loud this season! Prints from head to toe are the way to go. Try experimenting with different types of prints. You'll know what you love and what you hate. Throwing in another trend here, wide legged cropped pants.

Cross Body Fur Stoles

This is funny because it was on my list last year! Apparently designers have hung on to this and I am ALL for it! I'm combining two trends here. Statement Color Furs are also huge right now. I'm loving the blue!  Another trend worthy topic is leopard. I'll tell you right now, in or not, I'll always adore leopard!

Neckerchiefs

I for one am SO glad this has returned! I think it is such a beautiful and elegant look!

A Longer Line

When I was in middle school, long "dusters" were in and I looooved them. I vividly remember when they weren't "in" any longer and I kept thinking to myself that I couldn't wait when they came back around. Well here we are 15+ years later and a version is back! Also Emerald Green is returning from last year and I'm ok with that because, duh, favorite color!

Balloon Sleeves

These are adding an element of intrigue to the runways this fall. They puff out at the biceps. Its a fun and different look!

And as always get yourself a fabulous fall hat!

Keep in mind that these are just my fall favorites. There are many more styles out there this season.

I'm so looking forward to this upcoming season! But don't get me wrong I'll be enjoying the rest of this glorious summer.

Enjoy your Sunday! I hope it starts with a cup of hot coffee and ends with a glass of vino.

xoxo

Keeping It Together

Happy Spring!!!

Could that be any more exciting? I didn't think so! Snow? What snow?

Along with relaxing on Sunday's I also love to plan out my week. Trust me, making lists relaxs me to the core.  I always like to know exactly what I'm cooking for dinner and have everything I need for each recipe. So I usually grocery shop on Sunday's too. Another relaxing task for me believe it or not.

If I had any advice for the busy woman on the go it would be to get your act together in advance. It really brings peace of mind to know what's for dinner and what you have going on. Get yourself a beautiful planner that you like to look at and notebook for inspirations along the way. With a new season brings a new planner for me. A recent trip out of town last week lead to a pretty amazing shopping trip with my Sis-In-Law. I found this amazing planner, paper, and notebook.

This Spring is going to be my most organized ever.

So lets talk some tips to keep it all together.

  • Get out your favorite cookbook or pull up some cool recipes on Pinterest and plan at least three meals (if your the cook in the house) so that you have at least an idea of whats on the menu that evening and you are prepaired.
  • Staying on the food track, make your lunch the night before.
  • Priortize. Look at your schedule for the upcoming week. See if you have any deadlines or important meetings and make sure you have everything together for that.
  • On Sunday's I always clean out my handbag. Get rid of reciepts and papers that you don't need and file the rest. Add anything you think you might need for the next day.
  • Polish your nails Sunday evening so that's one less thing to worry about the next day.

I hope you have a relaxing and productive Sunday!

This week lets really aim to enjoy the little things, shall we?
